Here are a couple ways you can help out:
DONATIONS of time, tangible items and resources
Please drop off donations any Wednesday between 1:00-4:00pm at the back door of the church OR at another time by arranging with us via email.
FOOD - Due to the overwhelming demand across the Los Angeles County, our Wednesday Food Pantry is receiving much less food, despite record turnouts. Especially protein! We prefer to distribute food that is healthy and/or fresh. Please do not bring expired food of any kind. Thanks!
EGG CARTONS - Save your empty 12-pack egg cartons and bring them to us! We fill them with newly donated, fresh eggs and distribute them at the food pantry.
CLOTHING - We need men’s jeans, t-shirts, men’s and women’s walking shoes, and new socks and underpants for all genders. PLEASE!!
VOLUNTEERING
Here are some hands on ways to help our community through SLCC:
Food Pantry - Wednesdays 1:00-4:00pm and 5:00-7:00pm - varied opportunities to serve, email for details.
Wednesday Drop In (WDI) 1:30-4:30pm - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 1:00-3:30pm and 3:00-5:30pm - Help meet the needs of people experiencing homelessness, email for details.
Saturday Showers - Saturdays 11:00-4:00pm, sorting and handing out clothing and snacks.
Join the Prayer Team - we’ve seen prayer work!
NEW!! WEDNESDAY PRAYER GROUP FOR FOOD PANTRY AND UNHOUSED GUESTS 1:45-2:00PM IN THE LOUNGE

Ongoing Needs
Our Clothing bank is always in need of the following:
Socks - preferably new but at least clean and in good condition
Underwear - women’s and men’s - New
Sweatshirts and Jackets - L, XL, XXL women’s and men's
Sleeping Bags - new or used in good condition
Blankets - new or used in good condition
Tents - new or used in good/fair condition
Hygiene supplies - hotel-sized soaps, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.
Diapers - new (obviously) <3
New or used (in good condition) toys
